Orbis covers the following capabilities:

Commissioning and in-orbit calibration/validation

This is a set of input analyses and trials to derive errors and biases caused to payload during launch or when adapting to orbital space. Further in-orbit calibration reacts to changing acquisition conditions and adjusts processing baseline to keep results as consistent as possible.

Mission data ingestion

Mission data, such as imagery and metadata, can be ingested to Orbis in a compatible format or computer-readable raw data can be taken care of for ingestion.

Remote sensing processing operations

The remote sensing expertise is the current core domain in Orbis. Our experts utilise original mission data, calibration outputs and reference data to set up a processing pipeline for quality and well-adoptable results - Earth Observation products in desired levels of processing.

Quality control of outputs

Sensing results as well as processing results and EO products are constantly quality-controlled to maintain accuracy. This goes hand in hand with feedback loop of mission cal/val. Quality metrics are reported to the customer and adhere to recognised standards to ensure methodical traceability.

Data storage

Short-term and long-term archiving capability in the cloud can be offered to the customers.

Data distribution

ata are distributed in a lightweight cloud-based formats by default, however, this can be further specified on demand. Either the user can use a human-friendly web-based interface or, especially for machine-to-machine communication, a modern STAC-based API.

User interface and dashboards

Our web-based user interface goes beyond the data distribution and acts as a full management suite for the user. It provides a mission overview, management dashboards and various settings.
